deviantART has decided that Furcadia portraits are only avatars, not pixel art, and are beginning to move them from our home category of Non-Isometric Character Pixels to the effortless section of Avatars, despite our efforts put into our portraits to do what pixel art is labeled as: Art created pixel by pixel.
Anyone can slap a border and some text on an image and call it an avatar, but it takes time, practice and effort to make a great Furcadia portrait from scratch. If you feel your portraits are an art, and not just avatars, sport this simple, yet clear stamp that states how one feels about their Furcadia portrait artwork.
